Yuri handles basketball and recovery, Rosie covers mental routines, and The Rock sends nutrition reminders. All three are Grok Bots I set up for myself as a basketball player. The route: decide what each bot should do, build it in Grok Bot, pick a voice, then give it a face. The team is built, and living with it comes next.

What each bot handles

The idea is a support team an athlete can build, and I start with mine. Each bot gets one side of the work instead of all of it.

Rosie and the mental routines come first in the planning, then The Rock on nutrition, then Yuri on basketball and recovery. The jobs are check ins and reminders.

  • Checking in with me after practice
  • Reminders about meditation and recovery
  • A reminder about my weekly letter to myself
  • Notifications and a reflection on practice

Building them in Grok Bot

Yuri is the first build in Grok Bot. The job goes in first, then the voice, then the face. Grok Bot is where all three get made.

Rosie gets built after Yuri, and The Rock is last. A few of the faces came out more serious than I wanted.

The names behind the bots

Each bot borrows its name from a real person. Rosie comes from Dr Rosie Mead. Yuri comes from Coach Yuri, who posts on Instagram and YouTube. The Rock is Dwayne Johnson.

The Kawhi story comes from Paul George on Podcast P.

The next step

The three bots are made, with jobs, voices and faces set. None of it is tested yet.

Living with the team is how I'll find out which parts help.
